1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Scoop Twin Falls (“Scoop Twin Falls,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use our websites, booking tools, customer accounts, and related services at twinfallspetwasteremoval.com and api.twinfallspetwasteremoval.com (collectively, the “Services”).

We provide residential and commercial pet waste removal primarily in Twin Falls, Idaho and nearby Magic Valley communities (including Kimberly, Jerome, Buhl, Filer, and Hansen). We process personal information in the United States.

Privacy contact:privacy@twinfallspetwasteremoval.com · or use our Contact form and mark the message “Privacy request.”

2. Scope and applicability

This Policy applies to personal information we collect online and offline in connection with the Services, including website visitors, guest checkout users, registered customers, cleaners/staff accounts we administer, business contacts, and people who email or message us.

This Policy is designed for U.S. users and reflects requirements and expectations under applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA/CPRA”) where applicable, children’s privacy rules under COPPA, and general unfair/deceptive practice standards enforced by the FTC. If you are outside the United States, your information may still be processed in the U.S.

3. Categories of personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, account ID, IP address, device/browser identifiers.
  • Customer records: billing/contact details, service address, gate codes, yard notes, pet names/size/breed notes you provide, booking history, chat messages with support, photos you or our crew upload as visit proof.
  • Commercial information: services requested, quotes, payments status, cancellation history.
  • Internet / network activity: pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP, cookie/local-storage preferences, error and security logs.
  • Geolocation (coarse): city/region inferred from IP or service address ZIP for routing and fraud prevention — we do not sell precise mobile GPS tracking of consumers.
  • Inferences: limited operational inferences (e.g., preferred schedule cadence) used only to provide the Services.
  • Sensitive personal information (limited): account credentials (passwords stored hashed), optional gate/access codes, and payment-related tokens processed by our payment provider. We do not intentionally collect government ID numbers, precise health data, or biometric templates.

4. Sources of information

  • Directly from you (forms, booking, account, chat, email, phone).
  • Automatically from your device when you use the website or apps.
  • From our service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processors, analytics if enabled).
  • From you about pets/yards you manage (you should only provide information you are authorized to share).

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, schedule, route, and complete pet waste removal visits.
  • Create and secure accounts; authenticate users; prevent abuse and fraud.
  • Process quotes, bookings, payments, refunds, and receipts.
  • Communicate about bookings, service changes, safety issues, and support chat.
  • Send service-related notices; marketing only where permitted and with opt-out.
  • Improve the website, fix bugs, monitor security, and maintain backups.
  • Comply with law, enforce Terms, and protect rights, property, and safety.
  • Respond to privacy and consumer rights requests.

6. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

We use essential cookies/local storage for authentication sessions, security, load balancing, and remembering basic preferences. These are required for the Services to function. We may use analytics cookies or similar tools to understand traffic; where required, we will honor opt-out choices described below.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or booking.

We do not respond to every browser “Do Not Track” signal in a uniform way because there is no consistent industry standard; California residents may use the CCPA rights below instead.

7. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers / processors who help us operate the business (hosting, database, email, SMS if used, payment processing such as Stripe or similar, security monitoring), under contracts limiting use to our instructions.
  • Staff and contracted cleaners who need address, access notes, and job details to perform a visit.
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
  • Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy’s protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CCPA/CPRA. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-out links.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including to provide Services, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Booking and payment records are typically retained for at least the period required by applicable U.S. tax and commercial recordkeeping rules. Account credentials remain until you delete the account or we close it. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before automatic overwrite.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, application request authentication, and encrypted API payloads where enabled. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

The Services are intended for adults (18+) who can form a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided information, contact privacy@twinfallspetwasteremoval.com and we will delete it promptly as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

11. Your privacy rights (United States / CCPA-CPRA)

Depending on your state of residence (including California, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have rights to:

  • Know/access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell/share today).
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Services.
  • Appeal a denied rights request where your state provides an appeal right.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

How to submit a request: email privacy@twinfallspetwasteremoval.com or use the Contact form with subject “Privacy Rights Request.” We will verify your identity (and authority of any authorized agent) before fulfilling requests, as permitted by law. We aim to respond within 45 days (or the period your state requires), with an extension notice if needed.

California “Shine the Light”: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing without consent.

12. Marketing and communications choices

Transactional messages (booking confirmations, schedule changes, security alerts) are part of the Service. You may opt out of promotional emails via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Message/data rates may apply for SMS if you opt in to texts. Reply STOP to end SMS where offered.

13. U.S. processing and international visitors

Our servers and primary vendors are located in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ.

14. Third-party links and tools

Our site may link to third-party sites (maps, payment pages, social profiles). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for those practices.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we post revisions. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site or emailed when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy where permitted by law.
